So gibt es hier die <strong>Panagia-Kassopitra-Kirche<\/strong>, ein dreischiffiges Geb\u00e4ude, den <strong>beeindruckenden Zeustempel<\/strong> und ein <strong>normannisches Kastell<\/strong>. Nicht zuletzt hat sich die <strong>\u00f6sterreichische Kaiserin Sisi<\/strong> hier <strong>ihre Sommerresidenz<\/strong> bauen lassen, ein kleines Schloss im Stile einer antiken Villa. Da Sisi gro\u00dfe Bewunderung f\u00fcr den griechischen Helden Achilles empfand, wurde das Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts errichtete Geb\u00e4ude <strong>Achilleion <\/strong>genannt.<\/p>\n<p>Der Palast, in dessen Casino und Garten schon <strong>James Bond-Szenen<\/strong> gedreht wurden, empf\u00e4ngt euch mit einer<strong> pr\u00e4chtigen Eingangshalle<\/strong>. Versehen mit zahlreichen tollen Deckenfresken gibt es hier au\u00dferdem <strong>sehenswerte Gem\u00e4lde und M\u00f6bel<\/strong> aus der damaligen Zeit. Der um den Palast liegende Garten der Musen l\u00e4dt mit einem zauberhaften Ambiente und einem <strong>umwerfenden Ausblick auf die Ostk\u00fcste<\/strong> zum Verweilen ein.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\">Kloster Vlacherna<\/h3>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\">\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>Sechs Kilometer s\u00fcdlich der Hauptstadt liegt ein weiteres Wahrzeichen der Insel: das <strong>Kloster Vlacherna<\/strong>. Dieses <strong>Kirchengeb\u00e4ude aus dem 17. Jahrhundert<\/strong> kommt in strahlendem Wei\u00df daher und liegt auf einer kleinen Insel. \u00dcber einen Steg k\u00f6nnt ihr diese imposante Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeit besuchen. Der Name bedeutet soviel wie \u201eAlleinherrscher\u201c. Dieser <strong>mit 906 Metern h\u00f6chste Berg der Insel<\/strong> beherbergt auf seiner Spitze ein Kloster aus dem 17. Jahrhundert und wartet mit einer historischen Landschaft auf, die an die Mondoberfl\u00e4che erinnert. Besonders das Ende des Aufstiegs auf den Pantokrator stellt eine <strong>sportliche Herausforderung<\/strong> dar.
